Got a new pump for dynamic seat today..apparently its an updated part. I have a 2006
So my car is about out of warranty (75 Miles) and I noticed last week that my dynamic seat bolsters weren't firing.
Took it to the dealer today and apparently there were a bunch of DTC codes (Is there a website to decode these) anyways they replaced the pump.
Service advisor said its a redesigned pump (commenting not that there was anything wrong with old one)
What I did notice is the dynamic seats work a lot better now. The bolsters inflate quickly but slightly slower..... no longer feels like you are being jabbed in the side. Yes I checked the display and they are still set to powerful.
Anyways an FYI for anyone with issues. I like it a lot better!

Alright Gents and the one lady I have seen on the forum.
I dug up the paperwork. Its funny they claim they could not duplicate it but replaced the pump anyway. Also the following DTC's were found - 9256,9180,9254,9259
The pump part number shows as
1 000-800-31-48 pump
1 000-800-03-18 bracket
1 000-800-35-15 hose line
says updated pump and lines.
Hope this helps.

Just did the same myself, easy diy.
Just make sure the dealer gives you the new hose connections with the new pump as the new part is not plug in play.

Does anyone know if the CPO Warranty covers DD Seat issues? Mine's working fine but am REALLY hoping this is the case in case anything goes wrong with it.
Now I'm wondering if my car ever got the new pump.

I don't have any pics or instructions but its quite simple. Remove the left side carpet from the trunk. You will then see a black box there.
Remove it as well as the tubes/hoses connected to it and the power supply
Replace the old one with the new one, and remove the old grey tubes from the other unit.
Replace with the new tubing system and button it back together.

Today my seats in my 2005 e55 stopped operating as well. (side bolsters and massage). Another thing that never worked since i bought the car used was the door handles. all 4 of them wont automatically open the doors when you are close to the car.
My question is does one pump operate all these devices? including the trunk as well?

i tried both levels on the info cluster for the dynamic seats but neither will activate it. they worked for a year but not any more.....think ill have to take it into the dealer along with some other issues.

I just brought a new pump and hose kit and bracket. My question is, obviously there are 4 connectors going into the new pump but which colour goes into the ports labelled S B E P. Also what about the 2 old connectors that went into the old pump? Do these go to the hose kit and then the other end of the hose kits goes to the 4 pump connectors?
Bit confused. Please help.

For me it was necessary to replace a fuse next to the car battery.
Installing or activatig the Pump over Star Diagnosis wasn't necessary.
