Dead Battery = dead trunk: help
Alright, I left my lights on -- more specific, I fell into the same trap as many of you -- I turned on my foglights and forgot to turn them off because I always use the auto-mode.
Anyhow, I recharged the battery by taking it completly out of the car and using a charger..... car was not parked near an outlet. That was about a week ago--
My automatic trunk opener/closer still is not working. i had to use the key to open the trunk when the battery was dead -- Since then i have had to gently coach it open and closed. The buttons still unlock the trunk but the trunk-door will not raise or lower.
I searched for fuses and found nothing blown -- "engine bay, near navagation, near the spare tire and inside the driver's side dash" i think that is all the fuses...
Do I need to take it to the dealer and have something reset???

i had to take the car to the dealer -- they fixed the trunk for like $1200... funny the option is only like $800 when the car is new -- anyhow, warranty covered it.

Tell me about it.... last fall my pano roof became inoperable requiring new rails, gears, and motor. The total cost of repair was near 10.5K. After nearly passing out, i looked at my original invoice and the pano/solar panel option was only 1500 new in 2004. I do love the hell outta my beast but after the warranty is up I'll have to move on...
