E55 S/C Idler pulley is wobbling--new bearing?
#26
Hey,
I wanted to update everyone since you guys had helped me..I had to have both belts and both tensioners replaced. There was nothing wrong with the pulleys and the noise was originating from behind the idler pulley wear the belt was rubbing..Apparently the belts were loose bc of the tensioners hence the noise.
I am happy about the noise being evicted from my motor and I dont hear anything at startup...Problem is that at the same time my coolant pipe at the bottom fractured and I had to pay for that too..>>My extended warranty only covered the tensioners and that labor so 2 belts, coolant pipe, flush and labor cost me $700...My god these cars can cost a penny!!
