05 E55 Lease buyout

Huntington offered to forgo my last 3 lease payments if I buy the car for $32500. This nets to $28300 due in March.

Car has 57K miles and every option except distronic and satellite radio.

I'm thinking this is maybe a couple of thousand high but not too bad, waddya all think ? Anyone have Mannheim numbers ?

Looks like you have three months to negotiate a better deal.

2015 AMG C63 S
Run from that deal, use the money and buy a low mileage '06 with a warranty. If not, just negotiate the buyout, they will come down more since putting that car in an auction will net many thousands less.

Will someone post auction prices for '05 and '06 E55? thanks

I think the fact that there are alot more costs that need to be added to auction numbers that these people never realize. The fact that you know your car, it is a one owner, you know the history, that is worth alot more then an auction car. Auction cars are good if you know what to look for, but nothing beats getting a one owner car from the original owner which is yourself. I also agree with Hotrod, by then they will neg. even lower on the buy out which will make your car a great deal. Get a extended warranty and you are set. If not, call me when it is up and I will buy it. Another note, Manheim numbers do not tell you the options, condition, amount of owners and where the car came from. Those are alot of unknowns compared to your car.

I'd try to negotiate a little better and take it. As said above, knowing the history and that you are the only owner is better than getting a steal.

Emoving - I completely agree with you. I have access to the auctions and could have bought mine there, but so few sell, and every one I saw was never in the condition that I wanted. I have never, ever bought a car from a dealer before, but ended up buying my E55 from a MB dealer because it was perfect, had the options I wanted, and it was "all done" when I bought it.

A lot of people don't realize that there are not many really nice cars being traded right now because of the economy, and the nice ones that do hit the auctions sell for incredible prices. By the time I added transportation, fees, profit for my buddy, shop charges etc., it was easier to buy the one that caught my eye at the dealer.

I say if you like what you have, buy it. You have a known product, and that can be priceless.
