awesome upgrade with eurotech wheels
Just took the stock 17s off of my E class and replaced them with some eurotech staggered 20s (20 by 8.5front/9.5 rear) The ride when you go up to 20s isn't as cush as the stock 17s but the car looks sick and overall the ride is very smooth. Your thoughts....

follow up
The wheels were chrome takeoffs with toyo tires for under $2000. I actually had a great experience with these guys, the customer service was ok but not extraordinary which is understandable considering there are only ten guys working there and everyone is on a phone or with a customer. The quality on the rims/tires is great, i'm really happy with my purchase. I will take some pics in better lighting and post soon

Any close up pics? Is that a 10" in the rear?

I got some 19" machined Mono Vl reps on my E500 a couple of years ago from eurotech wheels. I wish the lip was a little deeper, car looks good but I would like to upgrade to 20s with a huge dish in the rear.

Why are cast wheels cheap? All Benz factory rims except AMG are cast. forged look nicer but they're so darn expensive. I paid $600 for the entire set of these, i'd be at $5k min If I went to Brabus. Hopefully one day forged rims will be as cheap as cast like lcd tvs now being as much as plasmas were before

re: eurotech wheels
Thanks Mike, I checked them out, price is still a bit out of my range ($1500-$2000/set) but the wheels look nice. They only had 4 styles or so on their site though

I'm a little wary of replicas after I read this thread:

the reps may look okay, but i personally wouldnt trust 500+hp and even more torque to some B or C rated metal fabricator. too much at risk. our cars are heavy and powerful. wheels are 1 place i definitely wouldnt skimp. its beyond a looks/styling concern...

Just FYI, most AMG wheels ....
are cast as well. Only a few are forged. And even then, the quality is not anywhere near the asked price.

Anyone have any suggestions on wheel size for my 2008 CLS500? I'm thinking 19s vs 20s, I've looked at the replica guys eurotech wheels, wheelcenteroutlet, oewheels, and also the higher end companies i.e. asanti, giovanna, forgiato and I think i'm going to spend a bit extra and get a nice forged, multi-piece wheel. Just want help on the size, 19s or 20s? thanks in advance for your help.

You know what though? The Honda fanatics buy top of the line Volks, Work, etc and their cars are 1/3 to 1/5 of what Mercedes guys are paying. So I'm not sure why guys on here want to take the cheap way out when it comes to wheels.
