Not exactly a mechanical mod, but has anyone purchased one of the leather key covers with the AMG logo on eBay? Thanks to Keyless Go, I have no need for the actual buttons on the remote.

They are not that expensive, so the risk is not great, but if a supporter of the forum has something similar, I'd prefer to buy from them.

Picked up a couple from another vendor but pretty sure it's exactly the same unit....they also have red and orange ones...they're alright...mine came from Hong Kong...took a couple of weeks to arrive...

I did not like the quality of leather, not soft ... not a Nappa leather

I found later a similar model that seemed made with a soft leather but it was available only with the Star logo.

I used to sell them at my previous stealership...It's very inexpensive...but works great!!

i have only one key too. and it's kinda beat up that's why i have been wanting to get a new style key.
