Hey Guys,

Been a lurker on this site for a while, just joined as I'm serious about getting an E55 AMG. Been doing some research and found many black cars, but a few white ones. I came across this NYC Car, 4 Owners, and currently at 73K miles. He wants $22,500 - What are your thoughts? Pass or go for a PPI ($250)?

The only two things bothering me is the 4 owners & obviously the high miles.

He is dropping from his $26900 asking price to $22500? IMO white is no special color unless it has pano roof which this one does not. The thing that make white a really hot color is the pano roof. So this is really just another 70k mile E55.

Thanks guys, I guess it's a pass. I was really excited since I had work the owner through the price from 26 to 22K. While on the subject, what are your thoughts on this?

The 4 owners thing worries me the most about this. At the end of the day its still a E55. I would do my research on this car big time. Take it for hard test drive and take it from there. What car out there are you going to buy for $22k.

As to the pano I def agree its hot but my buddy put black vinyl on the roof of his c63 and it looks amazing. You could do the same. I would say think about it.

That is a nice one but no way are you getting it out the door for 22. I just sold my 03 56k for 24,000. KBB is way off, they are using data from 6 months ago and they are never accurate on specality cars. The market is the market and that clean 03 with low miles will fetch 25k all day.

Hahah What's up man! I know which one you are talking about but that was not me, The one you are talking about has E63 wheels and no pano, pretty beat up, the guy hardly keeps it clean and always parked around central. My car was buried but I had a cover on it since the paint is pretty flawless. Thanks.

Then buy the $22K E55 you listed above. Enjoy the **** out of it, sale it again in 2 years for $18K and be happy.

I daily drive my cars, and will probably put 20K on it, so now being at 73K in two years with another 40K on the clock it'll be at 113K. Will the car make it to 113K. Also will this 40K cost me a nutt and legs.

Don't by an e55 with the intention of daily driving it a huge 20k a year IMO

$25000 would be a good buy, not a steal , but a good buy. Remember with these cars, you get what you pay for. You want a beater, you will pay in maint. Spend a little more and get a well maintained low mile car, and you will be much better off. No 2003s had Nav but you can add it. The only 03 that had nav was about 12 Presidents editions made and you will probally never see one of those.
