I personally have quite a few hobbies and have found forums like this one to be a fantastic tool to feed my passion(s). From airplane ownership and maintenance, boating, Frequent Flyer tips and tricks, and of course many different automotive communities; the wealth of information is AWESOME. It is so frustrating when personalties feel the need to take precedence over information which is truly why these communities were developed and IMHO grow and thrive. When some use them for personal gain (whether that be financial or self gratification) it is usually the downfall of what was an otherwise invaluable tool for other enthusiasts.
I personally have been driven away from contributing to some forums over the years or worse became a one way user (read taker) instead of a mutual contributor because it would seem that a "Vocal Minority" of members seem to be more interested in being right and hijacking threads then getting to a right answer for the group.
I've been involved with small intimate communities (like the Acura NSX) forum that had members from 21 to 60 and age was never a differentiator it was MATURITY and this forum was awesome......just like MBWorld.
I for one truly appreciate the help and feedback that is provided here and hope that we stay that way and don't drive folks away or worse (IMHO)....... drive behavior of folks that would otherwise contribute to stay mute and just take....which is a sure way for any community to eventually wither and die.
My .02

I've only bought 2 new cars in my 22 years of driving. My SL600 is a great example. It came with a $137,000.00 window sticker. I paid waaaaaaaaay less than that and it had 12k miles on her. I can't justify paying that much for a car in my current situation. And even though I'm a used car purchaser, you're gonna be hard pressed to find anyone on here, or in real life, that says I don't treat them with the respect that they deserve.
What I'm seeing more and more of on here, is that the texting generation seems to be taking over. How many active threads are chock full of ur, lulz, omg, rofl, wit, etc...? As these cars become affordable to them, that's what we're gonna have to out up with I guess.....
....as I type this from my iPhone. Lulz.

Is it a Mercedes or a Mustang forum?

I met Josh at the dragstrip for the first time a few weeks back and he's a cool dude who is ready to share alot of good knowledge, no bs there. I think most people have a mean or tough internet side to them. I have at least a dozen anonymous accounts in other forums or sites that I use to tear certain people apart when there is a need to. This site is pretty good in comparison to other forums but every so often I get highschool flashbacks while reading some threads.

I don't know why the C63 guys are always being targeted. I am sure there are some people that talk crap and what not, but I frequent the forum and don't really see what they are talking about. The last instance I remember someone acting stupid in the C63 forum was a E55 driver. Not that I care what he says, but it's just and observation.

Sorry to see your car like that and esp after all you went through with it and MBUSA a while back.
Fight hard for a good settlement.
Broke1 is still sore for people questioning his track and dyno data and he's picking on you for it all
