How do you take off the rear bumper impacts strips (moldings)?

How do you take off the rear bumper impacts strips (moldings)?
This isn't AMG related, but you guys seem to really know the ins and outs of these cars.
How do you pop those out without breaking anything? I'm trying to replace my right-rear side "boomerang" shaped strip, and a Body Shop tried to pry it out quickly, which they couldn't do after a few attempts.
Anyone who's done it, would you recommend a person who is the antithesis of "handy" with tools to not even attempt it? Or is it super easy with the proper tool and directions? Would hate to pay a Body Shop to do something so easy.

NO need to pull the rear bumper , all you will need is your fingers. Which will hurt like hell after. but all you have to do is get under the car and you will see the tabs there are tons of them on the top and bottom on the strip all you have to do is squeeze them but your fingers will get tired so I recommend some thing to pry them with. Just get under there and you will see what I mean.

Ah, okay, so you gotta get under there? The guy at the body shop tried sticking a tool with a thin bent tip, to literally "snap"/pry them off.
I'll give it a try. Knowing me I won't be able to figure it out, lol. I just know some Body Shop will charge me like $50+ to do it.
