CPO warranty
Does anyone know what the dealer cost (or conversely what the markup % is on them) is on CPO warranties on 2006 E55's are for the additional 12 and 24 months?
Also, if anyone has a hookup with them that they would be willing to share I would appreciate that as well.

100%...in all seriousness, they have to make a little bit of money. I guess a better way to go about this is ask what have others paid for a CPO warranty? They do change from year to year.

I understand they have to make some money on them, but I'd like to know what the markup is on them so I know how much off to push for. I think they advertise $3995 for the additional 24 months of CPO, and just want to know what a fair deal is that's all.

07 E63 AMG, 06 Cayenne S, sold 05 911 S
i think 3995 is directly from mercedes so there isn't any markups. When i got my additional 24 months for 3995 the finance guy which is a my friends friend said thats cost. he could sell me a non mercedes cpo for a lot less but this one is direct from mercedes so no discounts.

This is a warranty for a 06 E55, and when I was in with the F&I person, without even negotiating they offered me the additional 24 months for$3495, which represents a 12.5% discount off face value.

moral of the story...there is no such thing as a factory warranty from MB beyond what comes with a brand new MB.

another bit of advice:
A CPO MB automatically comes with a one year CPO warranty. Be absolutely sure that any warranty you buy beyond this (e.g. any extension of the CPO warranty) is just that, an EXTENSION of the one year you automatically get buying the CPO car. Dealers have tried to claim after the fact that the two year CPO warranty you paid for started from the day you bought the car, thus the first year of your paid-for warranty runs concurrently with the automatic one year CPO warranty.
fwiw IIRC I paid like $2400 for an ADDITIONAL year of the CPO warranty beyond the one year of automatic warranty on my CPO.
