I have a cl600 and did not have the room to mess with the sl63 this morn,
who would win say 70-120 assuming neither was modded?thanks in adavance fellas!?

 

The cl600, the new 6.2's are garbage and are thus being replaced.

Hehe, I'm actually joking w/the agressive response but there is some truth there too. Unmodded it would be an even race- modded, an entirely DIFFERENT world. Those cl600's and any of the v12 tt's are absolutely evil when modded.

 

I kinda thought that the torque would pull me harder than the sl's slight weight advantage. but that was hopeful thinking...I had en e55 and loved it but did not love the 63 engine either..not at all. I am sure its a good engine but not like the 55k. i love the 600 though...
i hope if I see that guy again I can teach him a v12 lesson.

 

I ran into a sl63 with my stock e55 and I was following him and I guess u can say "I started it" but he hit the gas and so did I shortly after and I was creepn on him at a steady pace.

With that said you being a previous e55 owner which car do u think is faster e55 or cl600?

 

They're ALL heavy pigs but straddling any of them w/the torque starved 63 N/A = total failure. I raced an SL63 & CL63 vs my then STOCK SL600 on frwy roll-ons, literally pulled multi lengths from 65-120ish IE 6-7 lengths is beating in anyones book.

The look on the guy in CL63 was priceless WTF?? as I slowed to let him catch up after viewing my 600 badges multi times His face said it all "WTF my 63 is the newest badest + an AMG, something must be wrong w/my car" Best part is he was driving very aggressively & cutting peeps off left n right till he tried me...

 

that TT cl600 will beat almost all Amgs stock vs stock . That 63 comparison is being a lil ignorant ,

great question...the e55 felt faster because the CL600 car and engine are so quiet and smooth. I had them both for a short time. I had more traction problems on the 600 from a dig. but once the 600 got going it kinda walked it. the funny thing is if your not driving the 600 aggressively it is not that fast but when you start driving it hard the computers recognize that and and give you better response in my opinion. I think that is fact actually.i think from 70-120 the 600 would mildy walk my e55k. but the SL63 would be a toughy. the guy was driving like a loony so I wanted to bury him. I have no badges on my 600. so i think he would assume its a 550 and really say WTF?! I plan on doing the 6k$ renntech deal at some point...i only have 10k miles on the CL so i might wait a bit. but I mean the thing is so fast as it is when I nail it at a steady 50mph traction control comes on!
any other thoughts guys?

Why be so sensitive ? ofcourse stock to stock, S65 will walk a E55K but not like the one in the video, that 55K might have IC pump problem.
I have raced to S600TT and walk him by almost 1 car distance. The 65 will walk 55 but def. not like this.

 

LOl right away a problem , im just replying to a quote of a torque starved 63vs a TT . And charlie that same 55 raced a e63 wagon and were neck n neck .

So please im just throwing my 2cents into convo that its not Just the 6.3 that gets walked on by a tt600 0r a s65 .

Which Charlie ? I never raced with e63 wagon. And Yes, I walked a S600TT without problem. This all started by SL63 VS CL600 comprendes ?
there is nothing to do with 55k engine. E55AMGG04 was only asking opinion on E55 vs CL600

Why you have to post this ??? S65 vs E55 ??? why trying to bring down e55 ? for plesure ? BTW, stock E55 can take a stock CL600 without problem. I am taling the 600TT NOT the CL65AMG/S65 !

The CL600 is pretty much neck and neck with the stock SL63. It is worth noting that the SL63 030 package was a European model with a lot more break in mileage than the other SL63 (7K+ miles). Also worth noting, the CL600 had only 1K miles...

I think most people can agree that something is wrong with that video coming from an unbiased person. I'm on my fone but I'm gonna find that same s65 racing a slightly modded m5 and the m5 hangs basically side by side with the 65.

Its just impossible for it to be that much of a difference. Stock vs stock that result doesn't add up #'s wise.

 

Interesting I wish you were local to matchup the 55k with the 600

 

Come on man ! its GTBoardd and we all know about most of their video are faked unlike others who like to take those as samples. Their videos are basically jokes.

Its not about the Bad Pump, its about where you see the video, GTboard videos are not reliable source at all. And nobody give the chits about the 6.2 either.

I raced a c63 and modded 335 on a failing pump. After I upgraded the pump I raced both of them again and my car performed car lengths difference. Car was losing power as speeds progress and after my s/c would shutdown it would turn back barely feeling fast. C63 I raced is a member here and he noticed first hand the difference.

This race is far past bad pumps anyway because if this E55 was running on a bad pump and replaced to a new one he would be a few car lengths closer and it would still be bus lengths behind . I dont know I wish i had I could run em all with my E for fun/comparison .
