Dynamometer for E55 AMG
Dyno mode, shift mode in 'M'. I believe in 4th gear you'll be going over 160mph on the dyno. I prefer to play it safe and request 3rd gear pulls. The numbers supposedly come out lower in 3rd gear but that's fine with me.
If your car is like mine, it will downshift even in M mode because of the kick down button behind the gas pedal. You can block the button but that kills 3/16" of pedal travel, so we end up just gathering data from 3500rpm - 6500rpm. Others have gotten around this problem either with a steady foot or some other technique - hopefully this won't be an issue for you.

Why not? It takes 30 seconds to activate dyno mode and 10 seconds to shut off. There's alot of existing posts about the benefits of having dyno mode on so check those out too.
