E55 Wheel Offset?
Im looking for a new set of wheels, and I need to know the stock offset because I don't want to rub the fenders. My car has a rentech lowering module. Any recommendations?

I used the search feature, and couldn't weed through it to find out. I don't have my manual yet, and I want to know what the best offset is on lowered cars so it wont rub.

Well, I can't comment on the E55, but the E55 and E63 are built on the same platform. I have aftermarket wheels on my E63, measuring 235/35-19 front with a 30 offset, and 275/30-19 rear with a 35 offset with no rubbing issues, and it is lowered via Star. Probably not to the extreme that your E55 is though.

I just now thought about this some more, I would suggest that you contact tirerack. Those guys seem to know allot about clearances as stuff, I called them when I bought tires, to ensure that i wouldn't have rubbing issues, and they assured me, that I wouldn't. And they were right on the money. Luke is whom I spoke to.

Peter is about dead on, except that the rear likes to be closer to 40 for a 10 inch. As he said, you can run the numbers he said but keep the rears to 285 or smaller. For 295s not to rub on 10 inch rims, the offset MUST be between 39 and 42. Anything outside of that will rub on the inside or outside.

All 211 E63s are the same in the rear but run an 18X8.5 vs the 18X8 that the E55s run. It doesn't change much, except you have to consider the different calipers front and rear when selecting wheels.
