So What's The Verdict? Is the First Batch Of 211E55's '03 or '04?
Someone on e-Bay is auctioning a new 211E55 to be DELIVERED in 4 weeks in the USA.
He claims it IS a 2004 without question.
Can anyone verify?
Buy it now price is $86,900....no bids so far.
Optioned at MSRP $82,700.

I've posted this elsewhere but the Netstar printout I have for my E55 to be built third decade of June says "031" under year -- as do the other six vehicles on the list including an E320W, SL500R, S55 and SL55 set for April and June builds.
In addition, the price announcement memo I got from the dealer has a Re line that reads: "Re: Price Announcment MY 2003 E55 AMG"
So as much as I wish the car was going to be an '04, I have a feeling that the early ones (probably until Sept. or whenever MB starts its new MY) are going to be '03s and probably without command according to the dealer.

I actually ended up dropping my deposit on the E55, the way the economy is and the upcoming war, dropping $70K+ on a car just didnt fit my bill. I think I know who picked up my car coughDaveOHcough. Guess its time to change my profile.

I can't wait to see them. By the way, one of you guys has to let me drive one. Did I mention that was part of the deal? Check your purchase order for the"Keil get's to drive it" clause.
Just kidding, there is no contractual obligation of course but free rides in an AMG are always appreciated. I still have not had a chance to drive a V8 Kompressor car yet. We had one used SL55 but they put it on the showroom floor before I could try it.
See you guys, who else wants an AMG car this summer?

Here is the summer ride I'm looking at.
1965 Vespa 150 VBB.
My smallest bike now is 900cc (the Ducati) and I have always wanted a scooter. It would be my bar-hopper, putt up town for a cool beverage on a summer eve.
What do you think? It could be the dingy for an E55.

As of right now in Netstar there is no MSRP released, there are rumors about mid 70's pricing, but it will be official when it hits Netstar. The price in Netstar is 777777.00, this is the figure MBUSA uses in Netstar befor the MSRP is released. When I get a chance to scan the printout I will.

You de' man! I understand Kleeman has a twin turbo set up as well. I think it boosts the power from like 20Hp to 23.5!
