I find it hard to believe that they can't fix this. Do you need someone to talk you off the ledge?

Easy Entry/Exit Feature for Seat Position Not Functioning

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles regarding the easy entry/exit feature for the seat position not functioning, this may be due to prior replacement of the instrument cluster (A1) on vehicles up to production date 06/01/2005. This can be corrected by installing one of the following seat ECU (N32/1 or N32/2) part numbers and programming the ECU with SDS release 09/06 or newer.

Models 164, 171, 219 and 251: Control units with the following part numbers should only be programmed and coded with SDS release 09/2006 or later.

A211 820 11 85 A211 820 85 85 A211 870 05 85 A211 870 49 85

Model 203 without Central Gateway (CGW or N93): Control units with the following part numbers are to be replaced with A211 870 46 26 and then programmed and coded with SDS release 09/2006 or later. Control units with part number A211 870 46 26 should only be programmed and coded with SDS release 09/2006 or later.

Model 209: Control units with the following part numbers are to be replaced with A211 870 46 26 and then programmed and coded with SDS release 09/2006 or later.

A203 820 15 26 A211 820 01 26 A211 820 40 85

Is that really that big of a deal to jump out of an MB and call it crap? Sure, it's inconvenient to have to push the 1 button when you get in after letting the car sit, but it's no reason to freak out.

Is this the only issue with the car?

From your video, it looks like the car has 65k+ miles on it.

So, it's a 2003 with miles on it. Did you buy it new or did you buy it recently? Is it still under a warranty of some kind? Just curious.

HI
yep , it has the tier 1 warranty until 06 2011 and was purchased from a Mercedes franchise under the approved used car scheme at 24k miles around 16 months ago.

Got it.

So, they're doing everything under warranty, except that they can't figure out the seat electronics?

You put 40k+ on it in just 16 months? That's a fair amount.

Anyway, good luck.
