Damn- I've been looking all over the internet for an example of a how to or a solid place to install a wrap...and this thread has been around for months right under my nose-NICE!

How much of that $3500 is labor, and how much is supplies?

You should be able to get it done for 3500 including materials, labor, and wrap. 3500 would be a good price for a reputable installer, not just a sign wrap installer.

Looks awesome, pure evil. I've been wanting to do this for years just never got around to it. Like others said I would paint all the chrome trim including the chrome on the door handles gloss black looks like you may have gotten the emblems already. I've had my badges black for a few years and I just recently painted the rest of the chrome trim gloss black with the plan in the future to paint it flat or wrap it flat.

Are there any spots where u can see the paint? There must have been some areas you couldn't get to just curious how close you have to look to see them. Anyways car looks awesome, good job.

Hey Nik, it looks pretty good as far as not being able to see the paint. We did have to go over it again in "natural" light and fix a few areas, but most of the car is covered. It was a fun process and it looks mean. BUT I do miss the classiness of the silver. The black will be fun for a while...

Can you show a detail of the vent at the back of the hood? Did you remove and repaint, wrap, or leave it glossy?

Also curious on rub strips and door handles...the stuff I picked up is THICK.

The hood vent was wrapped and the installer wants me to order another and have it painted, It looks like hell up close and unnoticed from 3 feet away. the rub strips and door handles are a daily fight. The seals around the car are soooooooooo tight that it is starting to "pick" at the final. I can't believe the paint holds up so well compared to what it is doing to the vinyl. The wrap is fun, but it won't last forever.

Yeah, I know it's not a "permanent" thing, and thats part of what is so damn attractive about it...

I think i'll clear out my chrome trim on the car just 'cause...but struggled with the Vent on the hood area...emblems aren't a big deal as I'm already debadged...with the exception of the star on the trunk.

I think this is going to take off big time in the near future. It is still so new right now but if you want to stand out, it is the way to go. I love it by the way. I booked marked the site too.

Thanks! I agree. I have soo many people stop me to yell at me for spray painting a benz flat black, then I have to go into the whole convo how its completely reversible and then they LOVE it. Ill have mine off and on to the next thing once other cars in my area start doing it... how about snow camo... hmmm

I agree! The star on the back was the hardest thing to rip off, I bought a new one with plugs and had it sprayed gloss black... looks pissed, plus it was a free paint job from the local MB body shop
