Boring I know....
Ive been noticing the outside of my windscreen has been fogging up (on the outside drivers side) near the front demister vent lately (it is summer here - frking hot). The aircon rotary dial to send their air up/down/forward etc didnt seem to be working and the foggin up was starting to annoy the %&$! out of me, being unsafe an all.
Off to Merc - a valve or some **** is busted which I assume is the valve which changes the direction of airflow from the compressor. Problem is, the stooges in "service" tell me that because they have to pull the whole dash out to fix the valve which is prolly some $50 part..the damage will be $2200 big ones. So yeah, I would rather pierce my sphincter than pay 2 large for a &%$# air con fix.
I dont suppose anyone might have experienced this problem or have some advice. Much love in advance
