Dynamic Seats problem....revisted!
Hi all,
Just a had a service F done at local dealerships....I asked them to look at my seats as they have stopped working - none of the inflate/deflate options work and non of the dynamic features too..
They said they checked them out as much as they could but will have to charge £60 a hour to locate a fault!!
Anybody know what it could be?....I checked previous threads but nobody seemed to fix it, furthest I found was maybe its the 'seat module'.
When I press the dynamic button on the seats the button only randomly or sometimes steadily flashes..
thanks in advance!!!

Have you checked your fuze box, to see if the seat fuzes have tripped? That would be my first step, of narrowing what the problem may be.

I had to keep resetting mine. In the middle of a drive they would deflate and stop working. It also often coincided with a very noticeable degradation of audio quality.
They replaced the seat module and flashed my radio. It's happened again since. Shutting the car off and then restarting it, causes it to go back to normal.
Just a theory but, I think it's something to do with battery voltage drop. Possibly my batteries are not holding sufficient charge or are depleting to easily. With my Porsche, I've had similar issues and it was due to low battery charge.

No mine would start working again by just shutting off the car. I have read of guys having seat problems after an ECU reset if I recall. So trying that may help if it's part of the system.
My radio problem is not that it sounds like crap. (The radio is disappointing no doubt) What happens is it will suddenly start playing like the speakers are under water. Sounding absolutely horrible.
I really think it's a power consumption issue. It also sort of mirrors an issue I had years ago with a high powered bass guitar modeling amp. If the voltage was poor, it would begin to sound like garbage. Pull plug, find a dedicated outlet and it was back to business as usual.
With my Porsche, if the battery is weak, it does all kinds of crazy things. It's really funny sometimes. As if it's not bad enough that the battery is already low, it will roll the windows down, turn on all the lights on the dash, start beeping the horn and blinking the lights. It's as if they want to make sure you end up completely dead. But with just low battery, the car first feeds the ECU and while doing so, the radio will sound like garbage and it will do other strange things.

did anyone get the SRS light when the dynamic seats were not functioning? My passenger seat works for a minute and then throws up a SRS light and stops working. Not sure if this is related, but only happens when I have passenger(s)

Hello all,
I have an 06 E55, with the dynamic seat function. There was a loud squeeling noise in the car, then the dynamic seats stopped working. After the car was turned off, the pump in the trunk continued to run with a high pitched sound, till I found it, and unplugged it.
Has anyone seen this? What needs to be replaced? Is it possible the seat bladder is bad, or is it just a pump issue?
Thanks in advance!!
