How reliable are the E55's proving to be in the higher miles?

Hi, new memeber here. Interested in hearing everyones thoughts and opinions on reliability of cars with 80K plus miles...I am very familiar with the fact that this can mostly depend on how well the car has been taken care of but how reliable are the E55's relatively speaking.

Anyone in the 150k range?

Thanks.

Hi have just purchased a 160k 2004 E55.One owner.
Immaculate car all round, clear of fault codes.
Has service history.
Has recently been imported from Japan to New Zealand so will be interesting to see what happens.
Have done 1500 kms in a fortnight and all is well at present.

Well, if your 160K in km then it's about 100K miles. There are couple members here have 100K + miles on their E55. My sit at 85K right now. As far as these car go, I think the drive train is very solid. The gadgets that come with the car are the thing you have to worry about.

Before I bought my car I saw a 2004 E55 all equiped, parking sensor, Pano-roof, keyless go, rear sun-shade... at $24K at 128K miles in LA downTown small used car dealer. The car was so clean that you can not imagine, I almost bought it but wife say big NO until I find a better mileage. But I am telling you that that car was very well maintained and very nice even at 128K. By now should be at 140K !
Strong engine and tranny but the accesories are different story.

A lot of the high mileage SoCal cars are freeway miles. Some people commute 100+ miles a day easy. Cruising at a constant 80 mph on smooth freeways isn't too hard on a car. E55/63 with high freeway miles should be okay.
