*** NATIONWIDE TRACK RENTAL FOR CHARITY ***
The idea of a nationwide track rental for charity was brought up in another thread and I wanted to start this one as to not clutter that one up. I think its a great idea and tried this once at MIR but I guess it was too far for the west coasters. Somewhere in the middle of the US would be ideal. Lets see what kind of interest we can get for this and start trying to plan an event.

One things we should look into is:
transport for cars.. Maybe see if there is a group rate. Anyone have a connection with a transport company?
I for sure will help sponsor the event.. Along with getting a few more companies to join in..
i say anything for Cancer, or children makes for a winning cause.
Maybe we could even do it at one of those "mile events"

Awesome for the sponsorship efforts.
I agree, anything for cancer or children is a good idea. My personal preference would be a lymphoma research charity but like I said anything to help kids or cure cancer is great

I work for an inernational shipping company. We might be able to do some moves for people. From WC to MW. just not sure if there would be a group rate as one off shipments aren't usually our cup of tea. I will have a chat with the woman who is in charge of our MB relationship. Who knows, would be quite awesome to have them out there No Guarantees though.

Count me in! I'd also like to meet a few tuners at this event as I'm shopping for new LT headers, more aggressive cams and a new exhaust system.

What about something in the Texas area? No reason, just think that its kinda in the middle "ish" of the USA
Anything Cancer related works for me. My cousin is battling for his life with Glioblastoma brain cancer. So Im down for raising or help raising money for any kind of event that sends money to help fight a cruel disease.

My Suggestion: Texas Motorplex
...another great Texas facility: Houston Raceway Park
Have been there multiple times, darn good facility.
There is hardly anything around (which sucks), but it is about 45min south of Dallas/Ft. Worth which could make for some fun times.

Chicago is the place to do it, man... my concern is the track I would recommend (Byron) is not too privy on being rented out... they make bank on the weekends and to rent it out to a group would be pretty costly. If we did it during the week, that would be a different story.
Awesome track, lax on rules, and I've run all my best times there.

I would definitely drive to Chicago and the city is awesome (as well as the mbworld members there). Dont know anything about tracks there though. That one route ___ track looks pretty bad lol

Dumb question, is this going to be for MB only? Either way I'd like to be involved. Especially in support of cancer, my mom has fought it and both her sisters have both passed on because of it...horrible horrible disease that needs a cure.

If I can help raise money, donate money, what ever it takes to help fight something that rips lives apart, Leaves Kids without parents, Husbands without wifes vice versa , Friends without friends. I'm 100% down for that.
Cancer will effect all of our lives one way or another. I vote to find a great cancer charity and lets raise them some loot!

In all honesty I would love to make this event but travelling all the way to Chicago is a long journey. Either way I would donate to this cause whether I make it or not. I have lost family members to this horrid disease and what I could donate I will.
If and when this happens I will try my best to make it....I promise. I would love to run with the fastest MB's in the country and finally put some faces to these names.
