WOT question
I have a question regarding an experience I had in my E55 recently - running wide open when I hit the top of 3rd @ about 130mph and 6,000 rpm the car seemed to hold at that point for a few seconds almost like it was hitting a limiter then finally upshifted and charged on. Any ideas what could cause this?

It seems to me like it was a glitch, I would try to duplicate the problem, to determine if in fact it was a problem or not. And if it is, then you can have someone look at it.

To me it actually seemed a longer pause - like literally a couple seconds. But then at that speed / acceleration it might just have seemed longer. I'll have to try it again when I can get the open road.

Yeah I know what you mean. Kinda hard to tell in the heat of the moment. If it's like the video then I wouldn't worry about it. Just normal. Maybe the sneaky reset would fix that but I don't know. If it's longer then that then you may have a problem but I can't help you there.
If you're phone has the ability you may want to video it. I would do it in a safe manner though. Just let it play and don't worry about focus and all that. Just a thought.

Trranssmision mount? I'm going to take it to the dealer probalby next week to get a couple items checked while I still have MB warranty so I can have them look for this too - just let me know a little more specifically what this is so I don't send them looking in the wrong direction. Thanks for the help and advice!

the call it gear mounting, which is a small metal and rubber part the comes under the gear which hold it or absorve some moves(up/down).
tell them , gear mounting. they will know it. it gets bad alot, spacially if u do alot of kick downs.
