This is just a prototype and I will put it on my car soon and make sure all is perfect.. My plastic idler is working but want to be preventative and I like the looks!

This is the accessory idler pulley that goes behind the Supercharger idler pulley I posted about a while back. This replaces the black plastic idler pulley with high speed bearings and a much stronger pulley.. This part was made, as many members followed another post by another member about changing your own S/C ilder bearings out.. I had at least 8 PM`s from members that needed help finding a new plastic idler.. ASP decided to run a few to help out and keep people from blowing 400 bucks on the set.. Even members that had changed their bearings , had them fail quickly and ruin the plastic idler when they failed.. There were like 9 different S/C idler`s made and some might work by changing your own bearings but why roll the dice? Just to it right for 125.00 bucks only..

This is a light weight hard annodized idler with Z rated bearings.

I've already got one reserved. The s/c idler is gorgeous and already on the car. I think its faster because of it...haha I'm kidding.

I have 85k on my E and my original pulley is just fine. Is'nt this the pulley that hides behind the other one? If so, why bother, can't see it and a new ones are like $20 bucks on Ebay. I never replace the idler in my other cars. Maybe something is wrong with your car.

the s/c idler pulley is known to go bad, you are lucky since your is still good at 85k. you ought to remove the s/c belt and check it from play and wobble.

just because you can"t see it, that does not mean you can't make it look pretty. Attention to detail

It is cheaper to make it pretty,, that is why..

Those pretty slots keep weight down, work like a fan and keep bearings and parts cooler..

You have 85K but who knows what parts were changed before you bought the car used.. The idler goes bad and can damage the pulley behind it or even more..

i went out and pop'd my hood to take a looksi. I barely see this pulley and sense it last so long sense it is a serpintine pulley that cost $20 i dont see the justification. but i do see real vents on the front pulley and your companys pulley does not have real vents does it. this is why your back pulley overheated and burned out. slot are not vents. I will stick with Mercedes parts on this one they replaced my pulley and supercharger clutch all for free. warrantys rule.

Not my compnay troll. None of my pulley`s are burnt or bad.. Don`t make up BS, you are just another what we call " non contributor".. Slither away now like a good snake..

your ASP 180 wobbles,, as you clealry did not know how to put it on.. It is impossible for thier crank pulley to wobble, it is an AMG crank pulley.. The kind of parts you seem to only like..lol

Update on price/availability? I tried ordering this part from the dealer and they only sell the plastic unit as a package with the supercharger idler pulley for $450.

I'll be getting one to match my ASP idler and later, ASP/Eurocharged 180mm

Just call and order what you need/want .. I think ordering will get you the part the quickest.. My set is running smooth and quiet!

Question: For those of you who replaced the S/C idler pulley with the ASP one and messed up with plastic idler behind it, are you experiencing squeeking? (After installed, if you put the messed up plastic unit back on)
