Chilling a split reservoir?

I was working on my saltwater tank the other day and cleaning the tubes that go to the chiller and it got me thinking. How practical or impractical would it be to run a "chiller" on a split reservoir system? I assume it wouldnt be difficult to refrigerate the water. Seem feasible? cooling down the additional 8 gal +/- wouldnt be taxing for any normal cooling system. Would it drain a lot of power from the car just an idea...

I'm thinking the easiest way is with some sort of cryo heat exchanger.
