Thanks for the info Enzom. I was leaning more toward the 9500ci anyway because it is all one unit... no need to have multiple control units and all that.... Now if I can just find a good installer in the area... I may make a trip out to Charlotte, as I know the MB dealer out there installs these units...

Won't do much good if you are looking for ideas for your 55. The install is in my Range Rover. But if you want pics, I will take some later this week.

Any
I would have to reccommend the K40 Calibre paired with there EX2 Dual Laser Defuser.
3 year product warranty and 1 year speeding ticket guarantee, you can't beat it. Then call Mid-City in Chicago,IL and get the Calibre integration for the Cluster.

Awesome !

go to their website. It is $700 for the dual sensor protection in the front. My buddy with an M3 has this set up and the cops can not lock on to his car from the front. One cop went so far as to give him a ticket for "obstructing the law" even though they are legal here in Texas. I will have mine installed hopefully Friday. Email CLiff. He is a tremendous resource and works for LI. He spent alot of time with me on the phone and even sent me pics of his C63 install. Hope that helps!

Best detector on the market if you ask me, and far superior to the SRX that was in my E55 and the junk K40 Calibre that was in my Jeep. If you live somewhere that uses red light cameras, you can load updates through your laptop every two to three weeks with red light camera locations. And it is a laser jammer..
Update -

Laser diffuser saved me last week. Doing 90 on the NJ Turnpike heading South. Nobody in front of me for as far as I can see. All of a sudden, I get a laser alarm near Newark Airport. Lifted, but didn't hit the brakes because I assumed it was a false alarm. But usually false alarms come when a car with led lights is right behind or ahead of me. As I am wondering what the f is going on, I get another laser alert. Hit the brakes. Suddenly my wife notices someone standing in the median on the left. Cop had parked his car in a break in the median between the "cars only" and the "cars and trucks" lanes and had nailed me straight on twice doing 90 and 80. He hits me again. This time, I am doing 60. I drive by him. He looks at us and shakes his head.

My laserinterceptor laser interceptor has saved me also. One thing though. Make sure to turn your laser diffuser off after u slow down so the cop can get a reading on you. I have a switch installed by my cig lighter in the ashtray. If you don't, you could get a ticket for onstructig the law. One of my friends got one and you cannot win in court. It is legal to buy laser diffusers in Texas, but it is illegal to use it to stop police officers from doing their job (that is what the prosecutor told my friend)

I got pulled over during the Labor day weekend in Maryland at night. My radar/laser detector never went off, I don't know what the tropper had. Maybe he used those passive speed sensor in the road. Long story short, he told me to slow down and gave a warning ticket. Thank you Lord. As I was doing 70 in a 55, that ticket would have been at least $150 or more.

E55 w/ goods, Z32 Project underway
Police have been issuing citations for decade without the use of radar/laser,etc. And..they held up in court. They really do seem to be dependent on them these days.

Many good detectors out there. AMG has a V1, cannot leave home without the arrows which do work. Once not too long ago I was pacing an Accord (not racing) at about 80-85. KA and rear arrows went off. Noticed CHP waaaay back there flying up on us. Now who do you think would have been pulled over? An Accord or AMG? ......

We went around a bend, I punched it (out of view) and got off the freeway and went around the back way. The Accord most likely got snagged. All I know is it was not me.

Other stories as well. Arrows do work. Had an Escort, worked great, much quieter than the screaming V1, but it became defective.

I also have some cheapo Bell detectors in my other cars. And they have saved me from tickets as well. Detection time is not as good as the big boys though.
