It seems like this is a bad time to come out with this conversion. Why would anyone spend this kind of money on a V12TT conversion when AMG is coming out with the V8TT model which will in all likelihood have almost as much power (tuned) and weigh 100+lbs less....

Agreed. But that is the only reason I see someone buying one of these. Lets say you lived in Dubai or Monaco where regular production cars like Lambos and Ferraris were like civics. Thats when you go out and pay for something that's rediculously overpriced just to stick out and say you can...
