What do you guys think is the best brand of filter to replace the factory air filters with on my E55?

K&N?
Green Filter?
Keep factory?
Other suggestions?

There seems to be a bit of discussion in regards to the oiled filters damaging the MAF sensors, is there any truth to this? I just watched the K&N video on their website that shows the testing and functionality of the MAF sensors covered in oil and they seemed fine. They even blew dirt on to the sensors and they kept working just fine.

 

just remember you filter is suppose to have a fine coat of oil. no drenched in oil. so I use the K&N set with light coating of Oil. works great and does flow more air than stock.

 

Stock! I have seen some nasty things happen with aftermarket filters in these cars!

 

BMC if they are good enough for Ferrari I think they'll do just fine in the 55
