Crank Shaft Position Sensor?

Ive done some research but wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this?

A few weeks ago, my car engine shut off as I was approaching a stop. I simply put the car back in Park and restarted. No CEL no nothing for a few days. Then one day when I tried to start the car, it simply wouldn't start. The started was turning over and over but the engine never fired. After about 10 tries it finally started. The CEL also came on but disappeared after a few successful starts.

Days later, the car died again as it was coming to a stop. The car also has an issue starting for awhile but eventually worked.

Is this symptoms of a fault crank shaft position sensor? Is this DYI?

Almost 1000% CPS. Not DIY but really cheap <$500 if you DONT go to the dealer.

I had this happen to me once (in big traffic) about 12 months ago. Car restarted after I turned key back to off on and on again. Hasnt resurfaced though, but at the time was diagnosed by the internets as a CPS

CPS is not a DIY on this motor? It was tough to get to on my W208 but not that bad. Where is it located on the W211K?
