Benz o rama you are the man! On another note, most of the comments are positive except for the comments on the looks of that particular white e55 in the thread which I have to agree is butt ugly with that hidieous exhaust!

And so it begins, gentlemen.
I think everyone should sign up and just start posting pictures and time slips. Don't even add text, just pics and time slips.

I'm pulling my best M3-Addict impersonation over there and trying to be a huge douchey troll. I can see why he finds it amusing.

Reviving a 3-yr old thread to start an internet war? Bully ! To the Charger guys' credit, many of them probably knew more about AMGs in 2007 than I did.

Wow...
Owning a Mercedes and being an automotive genious is quite an auspicious title, given there's a guy on page one from Colorado who doesn't know squat about a historic automotive paint scheme, from a domestic car manufacturer nontheless.
Discerning taste is definitely a qualifier for all parties involved but as they say, different strokes... I guess some of you are REALLY bored. LOL

Be Nice to them, they just dont know. Reminds me of my dad, has a 02 S55 and people have asked him if it was supercharged and he would say no, then they would proceed to tell my dad it wasnt a real AMG and then he would call me on the phone and ask what he has lol. Too many Benzs out their with a diff AMG plus non-AMG badged cars. Most people dont know to look for exhaust, wheels, bumpers or brakes like most Benz people. Instead of insulting them I say inform them.

Several years ago I made the leap from DC to MB. I was part of the DC community, although not on that forum (not a charger either). They are actually pretty humble folks that just enjoy cars/trucks or whatever. They don't seem to care that other cars/etc are faster, more expensive, or otherwise.
Misinformed about MB's yes, honest yes, but they aren't dumb or dissing MB in any way (except the guy that claimed they are junk and break all the time. Even he is mistaking breaking things for maintenance schedules). They don't know much about MB's because they don't want to spend the money on one, and that doesn't seem to bother them.
I would say drop it and maybe help inform them. It's pretty funny what some of them said though. My personal favorite was the guy with the pro street purpose built drag car who loves to pull it out to whoop up on people in amg's.

I've made one last good-bye post.
To their credit, they never really fed the troll (me) too much. If that happened here, we'd be like sharks on a bloody tampon.

Ah crap, I didn't see the rest of this thread before I already ruined the other one. Maybe it's not too late to still troll.

2003 E55 AMG
Lets look at what we are comparing here. MB cars costing 80K, 100K+? Lets take, oh, a "poor man's" SRT8, add all the usual mods posted here, custom head work, add a SC unit, etc. What is the final cost? Maybe 60-65K? Now lets compare HP & TQ figures! Not to mention the absolutely LOUSY quality ratings of most MBs. Most ratings put a 9 y/o Lexus ahead of a new MB in quality!
Haha...
