I wish for once we could stick to the topic. I asked about EC/LET, MBH & Floored Fab all LONG TUBE HEADERS. Don't get me wrong the info that some of you guys are sharing is great but I asked which would you choose and why?

I would choose MBH or Floored Fab, and end up going with MBH because I don't have the patience to wait for Chris to build me a set. FF has proven results by being run on the fastest e55s out there, and MBH has proven their results on the dyno. Either way, I don't think you can go wrong.

What up Jack! I definitely recommend Floored Fab due to many reasons -performance, price, customer service, and quality. One of the qualities that Floored Fab headers brought to my attention was the sound of his exhaust system. As you know I've never been into loud obnoxious sounding cars but more so into the performance, and you can see they perform. There's a reason why people are waiting months for his headers....because they have been proven to work.

Like many say, you can't go wrong with either but me personally, I would pay for something that has been track proven.

BTW...Jack make sure you keep next Saturday open. We have a special guest coming on up from Socal and it's not a E55 .

Sorry for straying off-topic by mentioning good LONG TUBE HEADERS not on your list.

From your list, I'd probably pick FF, if they're still around $2,500. Proven track results on the fastest 55s, allegedly high quality (no direct experience with any from your list, but instead from the opinions I've heard, from respected members here), and a reasonable price point.

Ok, my misunderstanding... I thought you were after a general discussion on headers.

Jack, which ever one you end-up picking, keep in mind that you could probably get an even better price if you start a group-buy. Usually getting 3 to 5 other members to commit will give you a good discount. I remember Alan did that when he got his headers from Chris at Floored Fab.

Luke, do you have any contact info for Floored Fab/ Chris? Website/ phone/email?

I am down for a group buy from MBH if anyone else is. I just cannot shell out $3-3.5k on a set of headers for some better noise and a few more horses. Now, if it was $2k-2.5k that would be a lot more affordable, but I doubt that pricing point is possible.

Mikey, we need to get together and see if we could get a group buy together on either MBH Headers or the Floored Fab!

Sounds good to me. You should try to pm MBH and see what kind of numbers they could do for a group buy of 5 people or something like that. They are about 15 miles from my house so that is pretty cool and the floored fab guy about 2 miles. Let me know if you find anything out.

Just an FYI the FF headers are not an easy install, involves a few places you need to cut weld, and grind down if required. & a few other bits and bobs.
Also extending the O2 sensor wiring the correct way will cost an additional $$$

am not taking anything away from them, its just not as easy as some might think, so wanted to let you know

It seems to me the MBH might be the easiest install...if there is such a thing especially if you consider that to see adequete gains you should at least replace (or remove) the primary cats with high flows, even if you do shorties.
The MBH headers can be considered bolt-on, since he adds the slip fit to the test pipe. You could cut the exhaust yourself, use the slip fit, and drive it to any competent exhaust shop to be welded. They are actually an option for the diy guys to save some money.
I was quoted a higher install cost for the Kleeman unit's, with cats, than the actual parts cost...lol.

The install went well but we did have one issue with the fitment towards the muffler. The problems was easily fixed and the rest of the install went well.

I believe Zod's issue was more of a miscommunication problem. Zod owns a CLS and Chris never made headers for this model which in turn makes sense why he had fitment issues.

Yeah just wait another 45 days then it will be hot as I use to live in Gilbert. I emailed Chris at FF just waiting for his reply.

I got the Kleeman Headers

I was going to get the LET headers, but due to lack of time and patience, I opted for the Kleeman headers. I was surprised by them becuase the opening is actually fairly long, and it does come with the primary cat delete. I still have not had the chance to dyno the car with the headers, but I will never know becuase I had Jerry from LET flash tune my car with another members 185mm pulley flash.

Performance wise, the car seems to pull much more in the top end. It feels as though the car can breathe easier and is more responsive.

Sound wise, since I have NO Cats or resonators, it sounds beautifuL! Very aggresive. I can only imagine what it will sound like with an exhaust system.
