Hey all I found a company to make me a hood vent in carbon fiber I have to send them mine and they will make me one. Would anyone else be interested in one? Maybe I can get a really good deal if we get 5 or 10 or some thing.....
It takes a little while to email back and forth with them cause they are in china.

I have one of their rear spoiler lips on my car and it fit fine. Some people talk about buying expensive ones in the U.S and have to glue , tape and heat them up just to make them fit. I put mine on with the tape provided and it fit fine. So that says some thing about the company.......

Not sure yet they agreed to make me one. Just waiting for them to email me back it takes a while to communicate with them. They also make the front carbon grill like the one " The god father" had made.

 

Thats cool. I just get worried out some products coming from China. It can be very hit or miss. Some of the carbon I've seen out of China yellows fast.

Recently I bought a Chinese motor for my R/C airplane. It died on the first flight about 200ft in the air.. Needless to say My plane is now dead too. lol

 

Ya I know there can be some pretty bad stuff out of there but Im pretty sure this company is legit. Ive had the spoiler on for a month and no yellowing or any thing. But a month isn't that long. Speaking of bad carbon fiber anyone have Brabus car pieces in/on their car? On my dads SL600 his from carbon lip is white as snow and his steering wheel is cracked and the door carbon fiber is starting to pull off the door a little bit. You would think Brabus would provide a better product for the money....

nope thats why I would have to send them my vent so they would make one.
but there is a link to the grill they make and you can look at their products and feedback.

I removed the plastic peace right under the hood. no problem when wash my car and rain.

 

I am digging the grill, may have to pick up one of those. What would the weight savings be on the hood? That would be the only reason for me to purchase as I generally do not like different colored panels on my car.

 

Just throwing it out there...any ideas you could mention to them this type of style. This is a Vorsteiner Hood on an M3.

Yeah Im interested, I would feel better ordering after you have got yours and can confirm fit and finish.

 

I will be in if the price is right and someone develops a true ram air system for this hood.

 

TO BE CLEAR. This is for the vent on the hood that is body color and I would be having one made in carbon. ITS NOT A NEW HOOD OR RAM AIR. its just a replacement for the vent you already have.
