AMG finally figured out the way to out perform the E55 is to rebuild the same engine but add two turbo's because in some cases they just missed the boat on the 63's.

Mthis I wish you were on the west coast cuz your 63 is a beast and I would love to see how we would run on the same track the same day or if I was on the east coast.

Strange but it does not compute with my experience. I had 08 e63 with charcoals delete only, and Jon's C63 was pulling slightly top end. My new 2010 E63 was about even. So, the new E63 was quicker than my 08 E63.
Don't know. Just seems like too many variations and conditions. Cars are so close that any change in either temp, weight or whatever can produce a win or a loss for either.
Keep in mind that 1.5 to 2 cars at 150mph is most likely less than 0.1 sec in time difference and maybe 2-3mph in speed.

Oldgixer with his e63 told me last night he had the same thing happen, he was running 2-3mph more then other stock e63s. Some of these stock cars are running a lil quicker then others and I think that's y we all gettn diff results.
A good run would be oldgixer e63 vs ur e63 albert. This is all fun for us so hopefully we will all get together soon.

How about this guys. I go out running every1 and no matter what I do I her ***** and excuses all the time. So this is what I say. We have me, jon - ( c63 ), oldgixer - ( w211 e63 ), albert - ( 212 63 ) all get together on a sat/sun am we all get every single car on the same dyno and go out for some friendly runs after that.
So there it is. I'm IN.....

A couple of things about the 7 speed...The M5's 7 speed is geared for performance. You reach top speed in 7th gear. The Mercedes 7 speed auto seems like a great idea but the last 2 gears are actually for economy.
The MCT *should* have less drivetrain loss! BMW, Porsche, Nissan, their dual clutch paddle shift transmissions result in more power to the ground. MB is the opposite? Weird...

We did and I ran 11.8 at 119.69 with bald street tires and he ran 12.5 at 114.9

Definetly makes sense. Your def putting down more power then a c63 because you guys are even.
What I'm interested about is this whole gearing issue. I've heard numerous times that a 7 speed does better up top. From my experience I have run multiple times with "up top" cars (c63/e63/21263/M5) and I do not believe that any of these cars do better up top then a 5 speed 55.
To me its a fact the 7 speeds are not any better then the 5 speed. I have proved it time and time again.

Dude u need to bring you car to Bruce to Dyno u car. Last tme u dynoed and got 411 it was a spike and you car downshifted from4th gear to 3rd. That's not a accurate Dyno u got.
Plus you should Dyno you car now after 2nd cat delete and mufflers I'm sure u gained 10-15 not 3-5. Plus you k&n's. Comon you not stock no more Time to start modding you cAr.
