You said it yourself. You got the pads to reduce dust (looks). In theory, looks competes with performance.

Just curious...on the people with brake noise...Did you replace rotors also or keep your existing rotors?

My rotors were fine so I did not replace them and had squeal.

I am wondering if you replace rotors and pads if the squeal also happens.

i changed my pads at 20k had some life left, but one was squeaking like a *****, so i got some akebonos, added a lot of anti squeaking solvent on the back plate no noize what so ever. Super smooth and i no longer suffer from 2 much brake dust, which gave me allergies.

I have been using Red stuff for almost 4 years. on all the cars I have had Lamborghini Diablo, Ram SRT 10, ZO6, Viper GTS, and on the E55 with NO problem at all.

When I had it on the Lambo it first it did squeal, but it went a way by doing some high speed then hard brake... just do it for couple of times and the noise will go a way.

BTW, when it's cold it won't have a good grip but when it gets hot they will grip pretty well.

IMO, Red stuff is for hard core drivers

never had any problem with EBC redstuff on my CLK320 (traded in). I now about to order a set of Akebono for my 500.

I think there's a big QC issue at EBC. Some people say the pads perform as advertised, while there are more than just a couple cases where Red pads have chewed through rotors, caused warping/pulsation and performed very poorly.

When I had redstuff pads on my car, they faded HEAVILY after a short period of use, caused heat spots and cracking around my drill holes in my rotor. I'll never use them again.
