Gutting Exhausts.
But before i do,i was curious if someone has drive by and take off Videos?
Can't believe so many people did this and did not record any videos???![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
I was also thinking of doing two little resonator cans before the muffler(after they were gutted)to give them a slightly deeper sound. What do you guys think?

With just the mufflers gutted you're not going to notice any appreciable difference. With the mufflers gutted and resonator removed it will be much louder.
Here's a crappy cameraphone video of an E55 with gutted mufflers and an x-pipe in place of the resonator.

Here's another with gutted mufflers and resonator removed(all cats and H-pipe in place as far as I can tell).

I looked at doing it, figured when I came to sell the car it wouldnt be a good thing and would be big $$ getting OEM's put back on, so I just chopped them out, welded straight 3" through. Car sounds BADASS (not other changes to res etc), although isnt for the faint hearted. When I want to go back to stock I'll just weld them back in. my 2c

cornfed gtr and m3
I have straight 2.75" back to stock mufflers. I personally am not a fan of the sound. I will start with throwing race cats on to see if that makes a difference in the sound.
Here is a video I made a few weeks back messing around with my Gopro, that might give you an idea of sound, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eUjz4T6I4qo
