E55 ???
E55 ???
Hey guys, need some help ! A close friend of mine ran his car which he just bought higher milage e55 04 at the track this passed wed night, now it seems he has a engine issue ! He is looking for a engine block no pistons or blower just the block any help be great thanks !!!
He called and asked if I could help says something about a crack in his block I haven't seen the car yet, but tried looking around for one and have come up empty handed so I figure best place for help is here !!!

Hey im pretty sure it will work, just want to make sure with some experts 2006 cls55 motor will bolt right into a 2005 E55 ? Just reusing his old supercharger because the motor doesnt include that !!! Far price, so im just making sure no issues !!!

Should be pretty darn close. All the 55 engines were pretty much carbon copies that were stamped out in Germany.
Long as he is using his exhaust, I think he should be fine.
Sorry you guys had trouble finding one. 55Kompressor motors sure aren't small block Chevys (meaning dime a dozen).

What he means is, we have yet to have a block failure. Your friend would be the first block failure we have ever heard of. Many would like to know how on earth your friend only needs a block? Even on engines with multiple blown pistons we still can reuse the block.
Yes.... the 55k engines are built like freakin tanks. This is the first I've ever heard of a damaged block and we have people on here that have pushed the limits to the extreme a few times

Quite a few cases of piston popping but even with those, blocks stay intact.
Just curious what he thinks happened?
