So where in SoCal do you get your modded E55 serviced?

I take mine to Carlsbad exclusive Auto off of Cannon Rd. Great service and they work seamlessy with aftermarket warranties. They are also right next to a mercedes dealership so in the event parts are needed, it is literally next door so the turn around time is quick. They also do installs of aftermarket parts and they will also do STAR lowering for $199, they just require you to sign an agreement stating that they are not at fault for the failure of any suspension related parts due to the lowering...basic liability stuff but they will install a renntech elm and not require any liability agreement so go figure.

you mean Hyevon Motors. HMS doesn't do service.
check out http://www.hyevonmotors.com/
they're great even if you're in OC or LA.

What is "Star lowering"? I have the Renntech lowering module. I use Group 5 for all of my aftermarket needs and service on those, so probably dont need HMS. But lets say that my airmatic fails...I dont want an MB place to automatically say it was the Renntech just so they can refuse to do it under warranty (if thats even a motive for them, not sure if it matters to dealers one way or another who pays for the work).

I went to HMS website and it appears that they have become a certified warranty repair center. So anyone w/ aftermarket warranty can get there work done by a good shop that wont void their warranty.

Check that, I confused HMS and Hyevon...I thought HMS was short for Hyevon motor sports.
There is also DC Performance in Los Angeles. They too are a certified warranty repair shop and are on top of their ****!

I don't know of and I don't have any experience with them, so I can't say good or bad either way, but when I first got my car everyone was telling me than HMS and Hyevon are the best places around and I can vouch that they've both been amazing to me.
Lol. I love the random enthusiasm.

Who ever says NO To Simonson.
I have over the years established a relationsjip with them, where i have paid out over 2000$ in tips.So listen.Call Gus at W.I. Simonson, tell him you are Dean's friend, and that i have referred you. That is all.

Gus is a great SA, that is for sure. He may not be the most knowledgeable but he gets by.
But....But....
If you have a leak of some sort or something wrong with a part that is directly associated with a modified part, they won't touch it.
They will not void your warranty which is a good thing obviously, but in the end, I tipped him and they couldn't get the job done!
He is still a good recommendation for all 'other' warranty related issues.
