Fuel Evap system

I threw a code a few weeks ago for a "very small evap leak". I replaced the fuel cap but the code came up again. Does anyone have a schematic diagram for the evap system?

i had this a few months ago. i actually discovered the error during a routine OBD check...didnt trigger the check engine light. i believe the code pulled was p0456. it turned out to be a faulty shutoff valve and had the evap canister replaced. i dont think the valve is available by itself, but dont quote me on that.

hope this helps,

O.

+1 Do you top off your tank or stop filling after it shuts off automatically?
If you top off, fuel can find its way to the valve and make it stick. It can be cleaned with carb cleaner, that said I have only done this on an older W210 and don't know exact location of the valve on a W211.

If I'm thinking of the right one, its on the driver side towards the front of the car, near the coolant reservoir. There is a metal line running to it along the wall.

again as I recommended in the previous thread:

Ok, there is another place to check. Just take out the rear wheel from the passenger side, then take out the plastic cover that protect the area there, you will see big black cylinder, just check that the hoses are fine and you have none of them un plugged and you may want to check that stupid cylinder too

Mine ended up being the evap purge valve. They replaced it and haven't seen the CEL yet..
