Crap. Just told my service mgr (who I actually trust pretty darn well) that I was considering going with CFP instead of Easy Care...and his response:

John,

Be carefull chrysler warranty is not as easy to work with and does not always cover all items..

Has anyone who has the Chrysler Plan run into any of this?

RE: Warranty

I think it depends on your dealer. I have Chrysler for my SL600, both my dealer and independent work fine with them. No problems at all to date with Chrysler coverage either.

That being said, if you can get the real deal MB warranty without breaking the bank, I would absolutely go that route 1st. My E63 is covered by MB through 10-2013/100K, it doesn't get any better than that.

Since I've got multiple dealers here in Atlanta...if RBM doesn't work well with the Chrysler plan...I may leverage that against them and go to MB of Buckhead if they do.

I just talked to Michael...sounds like a good guy...and if I can get my paperwork from my inspection performed yesterday by Easy Care, he'll use that for his purposes and wave the inspection for me.

Thanks MB 4ever for Michael's info. I saved his info in my contact list. I will contact him 6 months later. I still have 1 1/2 yrs left on my warranty (factory+extended).

If this is the case I can always go to a reputable independent, just in case if the dealer plays any games

Thanks

The dealer makes about 40% of the "Easy Care" plan, which is why it is so expensive, and why you might hear them knock others. I called dealers in my area in advance and asked if they took the Chrysler plan for service, and they said, "No Problem"..

2005 E55
I purchased the Chrysler Maximum Care plan for my E55 back in October. Since then I have had my electric trunk closer and intercooler circulation pump replaced under warranty. I even had a rental car on my 2nd visit which was covered. The only out of pocket expense I had was for the $100 deductible and the taxes.

Has anyone heard from Micheal C in the past month?

Is he still underwriting for our AMG's?

I've traded emails with him, no problems. He's still doing AMG's for sure.

Micheal Case and Chrysler no longer underwrite warranties to Florida residents.

Here is the email I just received from him.

"I'm sorry but that is not an option - we can no longer sell Chrysler contracts to Florida residents (Florida State Laws).

Regards,

Michael Case
Harold Zeigler Automotive Group"

And he just wrote me up yesterday.

Was able to use Easy Care's inspection and saved me some time and money.

I use RBM and have the Chrysler warranty. You WILL have to front the money to RBM and get reimbursed from Chrysler. Other than that, it's not a big deal. It IS work for your service advisor to get the work approved but that's their problem. Chrysler covers all parts except for those that they specifically say they don't cover...aka exclusionary coverage, the best
