Those are offsets and they are the typical skinny and tall tire combination. You'll need to run 245s in the front and 275 in the rear and it will look slammed but the performance will suck. I never understood why people prefer to go to skinny tires and push the offset for an agressive look when they could simply use the PROPER offset and actually upgrade tires.
The W211 may look good from the side with the wheel wells filled, but the most gorgeous look on the W211 is the rear end with some FAT tires. I loved having 295s, not just for the ride but looks as well.

I have 285 20x10.5s on the rear and they look fat as hell! People always comment on the car from the rear. I can't imagine 295s. There is no way in hell with 10.5 rims I could go to a 295.

Not true. 20s is true, because you will have too large of rolling diameter. But, I have seen 19s and 18s at 10.5 that hold 295s with no issue. My last plan was to tuck 305s under there with just minimal fender rolling. It can be done but that is IT.

On the front, the rolling diameter and width have two major effects. The front has the same type of rubbing issues as the rear PLUS, there is an added concern of when the wheel is turned. with enough compression (suspension), even a perfectly mounted 265 barely hits the top of the fender wheras a 255 and smaller wasn't as bad. I would strongly advise people keep the front rolling diameter the same or up to 3% SMALLER. Even MB acknowledged that the OEM fronts are slightly larger than he initial specifications. It is inherent in all E55ks. The front tires are just taller than the wider rears.
truncated: try for 295s but worst case, go 285 and 255 in the front
what are the offsets? The problem with going to a 295 in the rear on a 19" is that you will really need a small sidewall to keep the overall diameter near (with 5%) of OEM. I think that is about a 25 profile but not sure. If your rear offset is right at 40, a 295/25/19 should fit and look AWESOME! If not, consider a 285. I don't think you need to go narrower than that.

Thanks! I am not sure what the offsets are since forgestar does not tell you. They just ask what kind of car you have and make them based off that. So, the fronts a 255 is possible, but should I just go with a 245 to avoid rubbing? Also, on the rear you said possibly a 295 is possible, but is there any performance benefit over a 285 or they are just wider? Thanks.
rears? the wider the better. these cars put it down early and being able to punch it and not worry about wheelspin doesn't begin until 285
Oh. So a 255 is probably right on the money and for the back I should aim for a 295? I do not know anything about tires but I am sure discount tire can get it squared away for me if I tell them what I want.
