E 63S Wagon Renntech, E55 Renntech, SL65, SL 55 030, ML, bunch of old ones--they come, they go...
Come on guys....

I know this makes us all tingly and excited, but use your heads.....this is just another Bernie ploy. He has no intention of going to Austin TX for anything unless he's picking up a briefcase full of money. Sad to say, but my guess is that they are just being used as a pawn to get the other two cities on his list (now that Metro NYC is out) to pony up and get it done. I don't think San Francisco is going to play, too "green" out there, and Vegas is really what he wants. We'll see.
I wouldn't book any hotel rooms. On top of that, I hate to say it, as a nearly 40 year fan, but the most exciting thing in F1 right now is the 10 minutes in Q3 and the last 10 minutes of the race. Yes, they are wonderful to hear run, but you can't get close for less than $5000 for the weekend, and how fast can they really go in Austin TX?

Congratulations Bernie, you have turned F1 into NASCAR.

(BTW, Barber is a fabulous facility if you haven't been. Just no room for passing. Road Atlanta? Would be great if they could keep the cars from getting airborne on the back straight. Road America? Super racetrack. But Bernie didn't even stay in Indy when they were there ( he commuted by helicopter to Chicago). No civilization in sight there. Oh well.....)
