Ipod don't see my songs anymore??

Ipod don't see my songs anymore??
I have use the ipod integration for a year now
I controlled the ipod with the steering buttons.
NOW I only can see the primary standard ipod folders
with no MP3 in them
and when I plug the ipod in my computor... all the song are in them
What's going on here?
(and no, my Ipod is not in lock mode
can you guys help me out ...

Fixed it.
-I unpluged the Ipod with the car running
-stop car with all electronics off with the ipod menu
-then plug the Ipod
-Restart the car and the car rescanned the Ipod than BAM
the Mp3 worked again
