sorry guys I miss spoke you will need to use a 50watt 3 ohm resistor. This will add about 50 watts of current drain to the wires making total drain for the foglight about 53 watts using the 96smd's. This should be close enough not to throw a error code. Install is simple just take one resistor wire hook it up to one of the wires to the foglight take the other side of the resistor hook it up to the other side creating a direct short between both the wires using the resistor "load equalizer". That resistor will get really hot so mount it on a metal surface to help it cool off. And yes it is supposed to get really really really hot so don't worry it's supposed to be that way. I've done hundreds of these, same step goes for the drl led or any other led's that throw faults just will have to use different resistors for different loads.

It is a T4 LED light for interior which may not in the list of OBD check lamp software. The H1 LED for high-beam/driving/stop light has the problem with error message.

My Left HID foglight works for about 2 months, then starts to flicker, and finally dies after a day or two. Im on my 3rd ballast for the same side while the right side still has the original ballast. I do have resistors installed. Im tored of going through new ballasts.
What are my possible faults here? Maybe a faulty install on the resistor?

Glad to see there are still people that don't listen. Hundreds of cars, Zero Electrical fires, Zero Busted fuses, and Zero bulb warnings later one genius is here to tell us how its done. Oh thank god!!

worked well, for almost 10min and then one resistor popped.
maybe try 6ohm ? Any insight ?
