E55 then E63, now back to an E55
FOR THOSE WHO HAVE DONE 63 BUMPER CONVERSION - Question about 63 w 55 bumper fitment?
Hello,
I swapped my E63's bumper with someone's E55 parts....
For some reason, 3-4 people that have looked at it, cannot figure out how to install bumper correctly. The f**kin thing is hanging off underneath the fenders and will not bolt up to bracket. Also, the fog light assemblies that are obviously different appear to get in the way & provide an obstruction/obstacle??

why swap? the mounting braackets are different on the E63\E55, i have a E63 bumper waiting to go ono my 55, but no idea why you would do it the other way round! also i trust you have changed the grill?

Car is a lease return to little known company, I pocketed some money after swap (however it doesn't exactly work properly) - and yes, grille was changed as well. Thanks

You will need to get the E55 mounting hardware. I know when you do the E63 to E55, all hardware needs to be replaced. There is a thread here someone that lists all 50+ part numbers required. My guess is you need the same parts in reverse. Maybe someone here has done the E63 mod, and has all of the old brackets ect. If the guy that got the E63 did his, you could just ask for his spares
