Not to disrupt your thread but from the topic/Questions you've posted look's like you really want an E55k w/minimal $$ spent on mods to get you into 10's...
A used SL600/CL600/65 can be modded much simpler/cheaper overall (biturbo) & also run 10's... Just some food for thought Both great platforms just adding another solution.

Has your SRT 8 been a hassle reliability/maintenance wise? I would have imagined the E55 may be a bit more expensive down the line to maintain, but overall I do think it's a better car.

Mid 10s! You're going to need drag radials on your DD for that! Even with all the mods I have, I doubt I cant hit mid 10s. I'm hoping high 10s with radials, etc.. this winter.

DVS, fellow SRT8 owner here and I'm on the LX forums too and have seen you post.
My brother has the E55, which I love. I'm not biased, the E55 is head-and-shoulders above our cars in all respects -- speed, luxury, quality, etc. I don't mean that as a slight to our vehicles, but it's just a whole 'nother class of car.
I'm seriously considering an '06 E55 or S65 within the next couple months, and I've been frequenting this board since my brother bought his car almost 2-years ago.

Indeed. Our cars are great for the money, but . . .
Unless the new SRT's have the 6.4 with 500+ hp, I'm getting an AMG (E55, or S65), or the new CTS-V. But, after getting thrashed repeatedly by my brother's E55, I vowed that every performance car I buy from now one will have some sort of stock forced induction.
