Long Tubes w/o Tune

Hey guys. I got my long tube headers in today and as predicted I'm to impatient to wait for a tune. The plan was to wait and put the headers and 180 pulley on at the same time, right before I tune this thing but is it safe to run just LT's and no cats without a tune? I have a zeintronix with a dashdaq and a wide band O2 sensor so i can monitor A/F. If its to risky then I'll wait but I have to ask.

As soon as the UPS showed up I instantly lost my will power lol

More than likely you will be lean. But if your running a stock tune you might be ok because they run so rich. Just monitor you AFR and keep it 11.8 or lower and you'll be safe.

I think you will be fine. MY AFR's today are still getting into the 10's at redline after the Long tube install. I know a bunch of people running tuneless with long tubes Including my brothers CLS55. No issues at all. On a stock file it wont bring you into a danger area.

Thanks Hooley (sorry I don't remember your real name) So where is the danger zone as far as AFR's? Where does it begin? I think I'm just gonna do straight pipes back to the stock mufflers. Maybe I'll keep the resonators, IDK.
