The wheels do not stick out past the wells, and there is no rubbing with the stock suspension. It had appeared to me that the front wheels had a more aggressive fit than the rears, and the spacers balance them out.

37 on a 9.5 inch rim. I have 2 AMG style IV et37s and used them as my DRs. In extreme cases (really low tire pressure and lots of squat), the rubber would rub just a hair but no damage.
IMO, an et of 40 in the rear is magical.
Edit: not to spoil the party, but I just do not recommend spacers on these quality cars. It seriously affects driveability. It is cool to play on the OEM rims, but I'd still consider some nice forged rims with proper offset.
