Excuse my ignorance but why space the stock wheels 10mm out? It looks strange w/the wheels sticking outside of the wheel wells.

I took a fer rear shots, but it is difficult to see the relation of the wheels to the fender arches.

The wheels do not stick out past the wells, and there is no rubbing with the stock suspension. It had appeared to me that the front wheels had a more aggressive fit than the rears, and the spacers balance them out.

They could, but I like the look of a wider rear track in comparison to the front.

37 on a 9.5 inch rim. I have 2 AMG style IV et37s and used them as my DRs. In extreme cases (really low tire pressure and lots of squat), the rubber would rub just a hair but no damage.

IMO, an et of 40 in the rear is magical.

Edit: not to spoil the party, but I just do not recommend spacers on these quality cars. It seriously affects driveability. It is cool to play on the OEM rims, but I'd still consider some nice forged rims with proper offset.

Thanks. Enjoy that Southern California weather. It is almost too hot to go out for a drive here.

These H&R spacers are hubcentric, and therefore there is no change in driveability what so ever. Aftermarket wheels are great, but I want to keep a stock appearance for this particular vehicle.

I installed 20 mm H&Rs in the rear of my CLS and I think it looks pretty good and flush...
