on my home tonite....about 400 meters from home and BOOM! damn deer ran right in front of me. FNA! Didn't have time to even hit the FN brakes. Fortunately the 55 is built like a tank and all it did was bend in the front grill. Venison anyone??? haha.

HAHA you're a lucky man! I let my lady drive us home from the bar and she slides into curb on a rainy night

I'm glad to hear that a smashed grille is the worst that came out of this.

I remember another member a few months back hit a deer and thing flipped up on his windshield and totaled the car.

Thanks goodness your okay. I have seen many cars totaled from hitting animals, but it seems our 55s are not just for looks! They are safe and that is reassuring.

Glad you alright..but i would flip that thing in my trunk and call my buddy over for a BBQ. Don't want it to go to waste.

I'd have a decent shop check it out. I hit a deer in my 996 and thought it was very minor damage. $9000 later it was fixed.

just went down to the garage and looked at it again...front grill is completely toast. Nice big bloody "stuff" on the right quarter panel. The hood is not lining up perfectly with the quarter panel and that may be b/c the grill is pushed up into the hood. Not sure. Also a dime sized dent on the side that should be able to be fixed easily. Coulda been worse for sure.

I blew by one at 135+ out in Mexico one day. Bout 15 feet from the car.

Drove home shaking, and niiiicce and slow!

Pretty sure God and I would be hanging out today if I made contact.

Scary stuff and glad you are okay.

Thanks Jakpro, I defintely feel pretty fortunate not only for myself but the E sustained very little "visible" damage. I'm due for a B service and scheduled that for next week. Also going get an estimate on any other damage that may have occured.
