"The maximum charge pressure is 1.0 bar (1.3 bar with the AMG performance package)"

So are they going to have an "extra" performance option on top of the car being an AMG, or are they going to use this engine in non-AMG cars? Neither of those options makes sense to me.

Woah, the engine shuts off when you come to a stop in while in Comfort mode.

Yes, that AMG Performance Package is for AMG cars and is designed to add a little bit of extra power to the given AMG model. However, after tuners get their hands on the ECU, it won't matter if you have the performance package or not, as both cars will get bumped up in power considerably

Yeah that start/stop function in C mode sounds like something I want nothing to do with. If I didn't have bad luck, I wouldn't have any, so here is what would happen to me...
Busy intersection, release brake, press accelerator pedal and....nothing. Broke in the middle of a busy intersection. NTY on that option.

Impressive. 25% better fuel economy. ~550HP, ~650ft/lb torque. That will move an E-Class pretty easily. And that's before any alteration to the CPU and boost. FUN!

Very nice..! Those are impressive numbers, both power and economy. Looks like they managed to keep maintenance hard as hell with the tubing running everywhere

I won't be able to afford any AMG TTv8 for quite a while.

but I'm already picturing a E460 coupe.. silver with sport package and 4.6 v8TT.

should be around my budget

or a nice E460 sedan...

or might switch a new 5 with the 4.4 v8TT..

let the turbo wars begin!

I think the question now is which 2-door chassis other than the E coupe will this go into?

Do i see a Black Series version of this in the future? Or should UR make a Black Series out of it?

I'm curious to see if they'll build the 4.6 bottom end strong enough to push some serious modded power (boost) thru....

the AMG sport package will not only have more engine power, but better suspunsion, etc, etc, like the C63 Sport package +.

if it is only engine output, i will not go for it because sooner or later i will tune it lol.

I want to see this thing go into the C class! I'm really excited about the new MB and BMW V8TT's

UR usually takes non turbo cars and turbocharges them. Making an already turbo factory car faster is alot easier, no need for UR

100 to 200 bar of fuel pressure in the line. The low pressure pump delivers fuel at 6 bar to the high pressure pump which they are saying is in the boot (trunk) but that doesn't make sense, it must be under the hood. I would never have considered 6 bar to be low pressure with fuel, but 100 to 200 bar, that's a lot of pressure to deal with.

How many tuners have really cracked the direct injection set up yet. I know for the Audi they have some pump upgrades that consist of some stronger pumps. I wonder how the mechanical pump is going to be driven, maybe off of the camshaft. Should be interesting when it comes out, this is the way that all the manufacturers seem to be headed so I don't think the aftermarket will be way behind.
