Problems with E55

Okay let me start off by letting everyone know i have been using the SEARCH button trying to find out whats wrong with my car. The car is an 05/2003 production date car. My problem is this I am getting a jolt upon putting the car in reverse and drive, this is with my foot on the brake. Also i am getting a vibration during normal driving which isnt that noticable until the car warms up. Its a vibration in between gear changes mostly in the 2 to 3 and 3 to 4 gears. It happens under normal or moderate driving. But if i put my foot into the throttle it straightens up and shifts fine. I also feel a push and pull in the driveline feels like a speed up and slow down happening this is real noticable if i have been driving the car any distance with the cruise control on. I took the car to a Mercedes dealership and they told me after checking the fluid and taking the car for a test drive that a fluid flush and change might help but more than likely i needed a new valve body. What gives i am totally lost, and after being burnt for 16,000.00 on a 2008 Subaru STi that a shop blew up I have a problem trusting a tech. So i am hoping i can get some guidance and a sense of direction on here. I really love this car but i do not feel like getting raped by a dealership which has only had its Mercedes liscense for less than 2 years.
I have read about the treanny mounts the recall on glycol in the tranny. Any advise or guidance. I want to get this fixed and if its going to be expensive who should i look to and just get a complete rebuild and upgraded tranny for future modifications.

Have you had your tranny fluid tested for glycol contamination?
Have you checked the electrical connector plug (not sure of the proper name) for fluid?
What is the mileage and service history?

Mileage is 61k. All service has been done. It's due for the C service at 65k. I will get the C service done replace tranny mounts. Do u think I should go with the upgraded solenoids too? Is there a good Mercedes shop here in Ohio that I can rely on during a proper job in fixing this issue?

Tranny and engine mounts is the first thing that comes to mind, but you may also want to check the torque converter.

You might have coolant inside the transmission, production before 09/03, on w203, w209, w211 radiators were made by Valeo. coolant will leak thru the trans cooler lines. Depends on how much coolant, they are different steps to follow to repair the problem. Step 1: check if there is an update transmission control available. with the update transmission control module and the problem still persists. perform glycol test. Worst scenario , replace torque convertor, radiator, flush the trans. sometimes you can get by just replace the radiator and flush the trans, but like I said depends on how much coolant in the trans, hope this will help.
