PIC REQUEST: W211 with W212 wheels

Anybody have these? I need to purchase new tires soon and I was thinking of just swapping on W212 wheels and tires since I have found a few that swapped as soon as they got there 212.

I'm pretty sure the W212 wheels will NOT fit the W211. You never see wheels offered for sale that will fit both. (At least I never have). I'm sure a smart wheel guy will tell you what the differences are and why they won't fit.

Maybe you can just pick up the "take-off" tires?

Its definitely a possibility as the tires are slightly wider on front and back. The heights are the same as W211.

Tires are the least of your worries here. Nudge, nudge, hint, hint, STFF offset.

P.S.
MY FS set will be a perfect fit for a W211.

Damn, so the offset doesn't fit? Oh well. New tires it is.

You will need a 10mm space for the rear to make it fit W211.

i installed my wider wheels without any problem for the rear i used the SL OEM which is 0.5" wider and for the front i used my rear stock OEM wheels which are 1" wider than the from ones. if the wheels are 19" just reduce the tire hight.

check my SIG

I am aware this is old but its the only relevant info i found and have some to add. I purchased what were advertised to me as e55 amg wheels (he had one so it seemed reasonable). after refinishing them and mounting new tires, i found the fronts (wheel and tire) just touched the spindle. After running the part numbers, i have found these are w212 18 inch amg package wheels. 8 inch front and 8.5 inch rear. i am looking for some half inch hub centric spacers and longer bolts in order to make them work. the rears fit without issue but would look better if they were spaced out further as well but look good as is.
