Considering EUROCHARGED upgrades: some advice
Getting my car dynoed on Dyno Dynamics 450DS today afternoon just to see what it puts down. Then next week ordering Stage 2 from Eurocharged including 172mm pulley / custom fabricated long-tube headers / heat exchanger / Johnson pump / Stage 2 tune. Master tuner from Eurocharged is flying down from Illinois down here to Florida to personally tune my E55.
I have been told regardless of what it puts down that I should expect another 110-MAYBE 120 rwhp. Most accurate out there is Mustang Dyno, which E55 should put down 360-370. Hopefully the end result should be 470-480 rwhp. And i have custom built x-pipe to free some flow.
This little excitement will run just under $5k in parts and another $2k for install, but should be worth every penny.
I will post results from this dyno soon, and the rest in about 4 weeks when everything is finished.
Helpful suggestions / ideas / past experience is much appreciated.
Now few questions just to safeguard myself and ease this process:
Has anybody here dealt with Eurocharged before?
Should i do any other mods with these upgrades?
Anything other that i have missed/forgot?
Thanks in advance for everybody's time and effort.

eurocharged tuning has had some issues recently based on a few alleged blown motors from their tunes . Do your homework before you commit to anyone ! And i would stick to Rennech or Kleemann .

Yeah, and by research I meant using the search button, reading and learning from others mistakes...not creating another thread.
It has all been beat to death, tons of info out there already. Truly no need to post the same stuff multiple times.
If you want to save money buy quality used parts then have the best tune your car...cough...OE Tuning...cough.

S**t, glad that I asked....
I have been researching. This site is exactly how i found Eurocharged. Dont remember which member, but they got their car done by LET, now Eurocharged, in Tampa, which is only 80 miles from me. They said nothing but the best of them.
I dont really see how spending $7k is doing it cheap.
Evosport is a good alternative with prices just a touch more than Eurocharged. But their power package comes with shorty headers, not LT like i would like, and wires (not from mercedes) and no cooling mods. Guy that will do install off all of these parts said he can built LTs for 2,500.
What about Evosport.... Any experience from anybody..?
Dyno today started in high 370s hp, ended up with 403.8 rwhp and 478 rwtq after they changed load settings and let the car built up in power, before changes was 395 rwhp.
I thought boost on these stock is supposed to be high 11, computer was reading mid 14s fairly flat across the rpm range. Not sure if this is normal. Did about 9 runs 101F weather and very rich AF.
I dont enjoy bothering anybody, just dont want to become another fatality :-)

A Prius because I'm green
Go with an OE Tunned file, the fastest recorded E has it and Jeremy is "master tuner" for this platform IMO. Hit up TTM motorsports on here and check out his tuner box from OE tuning, you may be interested in what it does.

honestly I would get a kleeman pulley and tune.
Who ever you end up going with, just make sure the pulley is balanced(dosnt wobble)and has a damper on it.On the tuning it seems like every other month there is a new master tuner.
just make sure your cars a/f is good and dont go for the highest dyno number and shoot for consistancy

I have a ecu tune from eurocharged. I like it, but now I want to grab a 175mm pulley and have them retune me, and Ive tried PMing them but no response. So not sure if eurocharged is the best option as people said.
Who else is there besides kleeman or renntech?

This is from OEtuning.com. Does anybody have this installed in their ride? Never heard of them, zero information on their site, wondering how they compare to other companies? Numbers are not bad at all for $1,100....
Stock Peak HP 469 Tuned Peak HP 511 Stock Peak Torque 516 Tuned Peak Torque 562 Modification Type OBD2 Flash
How about Evosport? Any thought on their performance parts...?
Thinking now to get LT headers built custom locally, will run me $2,400, another $400 for x-pipe, but still need pulley / tune / H-E / pump from some company.
Still if I go with Renntech/Lorinser and shell out 5K more than anywhere else, there are no guarantees that it will perform better/longer/safer.
This is turning into a complicated project indeed.... :-)

get a used kleemann or rentech pulley, buy a decent heatexchanger and get a renntech or kleemann tune for your car.
eurocharged has one of the biggest heatexchanges out there for our cars.I would grab there H/E.

I respect a lot of the members voicing their opinions in this thread. However, I can only speak from personal experience. My tune on my SL600 has been great. I've data logged it, and all seems well. I made 50WHP and 80RWTQ with a slightly detuned version of their V12TT shelf tune. I've always been treated well, given great prices, and always received questions in a timely manner. They even came out to MIR for a track event last year in support of Me, Ahmad and Sunir, just in case we wanted to tweak our tunes at the track.
I know some people have had issues with their 55K tune, but put me down as a happy customer.
As always, do your research and choose wisely.
PS, I've been running a Eurocharged tune on my E500 for 3 years now with now issues.

As always your input is always great but Im going to have to disagree with you on this one..Just like you had your opinion on my "Blown motor" thread you are an obvious happy EC Customer but both your cars are relatively stock cars with just a tune compared to others!

NO LARGE PULLEY-NO LARGE TB etc..And i think he is aiming at a full bolt on kit for his 55k..that being said he should look into those who went ***** out with their 55k.... Again I think is better if he really really reaaaally looks into this before pulling the trigger. I had their tune for 4 days before putting a hole on cylinder 2!! Just found out a friend who tuned his car the same day i did with a highly modified E55 as well, is in need of a new engine
At least his car lasted 6 months with their tune, mine only a week

I have a LET tune and was wondering what specifically of the tune is bad? On the dyno it makes pretty good power for a 180mm pulley, Intercooler, air filters. What do they do that is so bad?
